Wie bereits im "Company Law Package" angekündigt, hat die Kommission den Vorschlag für eine SUP-RL nun offiziell zurückgezogen (ABlEU 2018 C 233/7).
As already announced in the "Company Law Package", the Commission has officially withdrawn the proposal for a SUP-directive (OJ 2018 C 233/7).
Damit ist der Weg frei, das Projekt der Europäischen Privatgesellschaft (Societas Privata Europaea - SPE) endlich "wiederzubeleben" und damit eine echte supranationale und umfassend einsetzbare "Europa-GmbH" zu schaffen, die insbesondere von KMU, aber auch als "Konzernbaustein" genutzt werden kann.
Man darf hoffen, dass die maßgeblichen Akteure (speziell die EU Kommission, aber auch die deutsche Bundesregierung, die das Projekt SPE ausdrücklich im Koalitionsvertrag vorgesehen hat) dies nun proaktiv forcieren.

This opens the way for finally "reviving" the European Private Company (Societas Privata Europaea - SPE) and thus creating a truly supranational and universally usable "European Limited", which
can be used especially by SMEs, but also as a "building block" for corporate groups.
One may hope that the relevant actors (especially the EU Commission, but also the German government, which has explicitly included the SPE project in its coalition agreement) will now proactively promote this project.
